Now with the introduction of Vista operating system a minimum requirement of a laptop is up to 2 GB of RAM for smooth functioning. Now laptops even sport RAM memory of up to 4 GB.

The hard disk capacity of laptop computers has also increased. There are reasonable priced laptops offering storage capacity of up to 160 GB. Now with the introduction of flash memories, the hard disk capacity will increase manifold. You can buy laptops online from the specific maker’s website or from popular shopping websites which offer array of brands.

If you are on a budget you can get a second hand laptop or an older technology. This will be useful if only you need a replacement for basic computing usage. You can avail second hand laptops of gamers or multimedia authors as they are in search for the latest laptops and want replacement for a fairly good device.

You can buy laptops from comparison-based websites which offer laptops suiting your requirements and budget. These websites also offer great deals of purchasing laptop computers and also give out freebies with it. You need to narrow down on your needs and then look into your budget. Laptop with the latest technology is preferred, which has sizable scope for expansion. A laptop should be in tune with the technology for at least 2 years making your investment worthy.
