Anyone have anything to say about the Bonobo Performance? i’m considering picking up one with a i7 and 8GB RAM as my first steps into the world of Linux (plus if i have money leftover i’ll pick up a starling, too!).
Thanks for contributing. I hope you like your new Acer. I just setup my 4 year old Vaio on ubuntu (dual boot with XP). Works great! I use it almost exclusively on ubuntu. Boots up in 24 sec. Great video.
this netbook does work out of the box. I ended up returning it for a Acer AspireOne 150D model because I wanted more control over the wireless,better screen resolution and more RAM. The Aspire also comes with XP, which you can then dual boot or knock it out for Ubuntu, which works perfectly out of the box. I think your better off with an Acer.
I’ve been considering buying a machine (I haven’t decided between a laptop or desktop yet). I would assume that all hardware works automatically out of the box. Ubuntu is notorious to not work with sound and wireless cards from my experience. If I buy a machine from these people, will it work without too much trouble out of the If I spend money on one I won’t really feel like searching for the drivers myself.
My son was playing camera man. I don’t know what the hell he was doing. I bought the netbook from the site and I gotta say, great service. This netbook can load any OS. the only limitation is that it is set with 1gig ram but that really hasn’t been a factor.
the new ones are a lot cooler but, I agree, Acer Netbooks are way better
@poopskinTheLiar Just Build Your Own
@ubermenschx Yeah
I don’t think System 76 is that good
It’s just a netbook shell which they installed ram in and added in custom branding
I don’t like the way battery sticks out

Yesh. I dunno about that battery sticking out from the bottom like that.
I did get it from System76 which I support but think the AcerAspireOne is a better machine for the money.

Is the camera man using one hand to film? lol. I was thinking about getting one, did you get yours from system76 website?
about 35 sec.
Really nice little computer. How fast do you reckon it boots?
